Johnson Controls has acquired Glasgow-based commercial and industrial HVAC design and installation specialist Fisher Group in a move that will accelerate its growth plans in Scotland.
The integration of principal trading companies, Fisher Group Ltd and Fisher Group Services with Johnson Controls’ UK North Commercial HVAC Installation and Service business is expected to establish a larger market for the multinational conglomerate's portfolio of HVAC products, services, and solutions.
Johnson Controls will retain the Fisher Group name in the immediate future, as personnel from both companies work to identify additional synergies, with Fisher Group's management team reporting to Lee Tindall, Johnson Controls' National HVAC Installations Manager.
Michael Anderton, General Manager for HVAC at Johnson Controls UK&I, comments: "Fisher Group is one of the leading HVAC companies in Scotland, with an enviable reputation and customer base.
"We are excited to be working with the talented team of HVAC professionals from Fisher Group and combining the strengths of both companies to better serve both existing and new customers."
Fisher Group managing director, James McLaughlin, adds: "This deal is an extremely important milestone and will achieve a key objective within Fisher Group and Johnson Controls’ strategy for growth.
"We believe with Fisher Group and Johnson Controls joining forces, it creates a fantastic opportunity for us to continue to provide a high level of services to our valued clients and will enable us to further expand on client support and delivery by offering a broader range of services."
