Sugar House Island Engineering Contract
Vastint has appointed Dizaja, a subsidiary of Baltic engineering and FM services group Civinity, as an engineering contractor for its Sugar House Island mixed-use development in Stratford, East London.
Under the agreement, the Lithuanian company’s UK team will design and install engineering systems for the neighbourhood’s largest commercial buildings.
Sugar House Island is a new mixed-use development in Stratford, east London. The 26-acre site will deliver 1,200 homes, 58,000 m2 of office and retail space, a new school and hotel, all bound by water.
For the three commercial buildings, Dizaja engineers will develop and install heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and water supply systems, as well as their smart control and automation solutions. The first and second-stage installation works are due to be completed in autumn 2022, the third-stage works are to be delivered in autumn 2023.
"For several years now, multiple modern office, shopping centre, hotel and commercial buildings have been constructed in the Baltic states. Our engineers have contributed to many such projects thus accumulating experience that enabled us to take a new step and offer engineering systems outside the region. I am certain, the latest major project in the UK opens new opportunities not only for the Dizaja team but for the entire Civinity Group as well," comments Deividas Jacka, Civinity Chairman and CEO.
"The upcoming business center will be completed in three stages and will be able to welcome several thousands of employees and guests every day. The developer of the project and its future tenants expect the center to have a highly comfortable and efficient environment. And even though there is limited time left until the building is due to be put into service, we are fully prepared for the task and we are grateful to Vastint UK for the opportunity to contribute to the project and the trust in our expertise," adds Titas Kecorius, CEO of the company's Dizaja subsidiary.
