Supporting Energy Usage Monitoring

Company News, Energy Management, EMEA, Supplier News, United Kingdom, AV

A video wall installation is helping commercial energy optimisers manage multiple data feeds and diagnose faults in commercial electricity supply.

Supplied by Ultimate Visual Solutions (UVS), the installation at the offices of Inspired Energy PLC subsidiary, Businesswise Solutions, integrates Philips 49-inch 24/7 industrial displays with a UVS WBC10 video wall controller which has been modified to accept two HDMI inputs.

The solution facilitates simultaneous display of multiple web pages, data from remote workstations and laptops, RSS feeds, dynamic message boxes and live TV feeds, with control of video wall content simplified by the use of templates with pre-set layouts.

Andrew Bardsley, Head of Energy Management at Businesswise Solutions, says: "Our clients expect us to be on top of their energy consumption, if something has gone wrong, or is about to, we have the ability to alert them to it so they can find and fix the problem before it causes disruption.

"The video wall solution is key component of us being able to identify, visualise and optimise the way our clients see energy within their business.

"Energy analysts who use the platform benefit from its 'always on' display which helps to free up some valuable screen space whilst still being able to keep track of the alerts being generated by our system."

Colleague, Paul Scarborough, adds: "We had an idea of what we wanted, and when we saw the demo suite at UVS HQ we knew immediately that they would end up being our preferred partner.

"They had a product that ticked all the boxes when it comes to functionality. The guys at UVS were really accommodating in terms of bringing our vision to life and we're really happy with the end result."

UVS managing director, Steve Murphy, comments: "We are delighted to be working with Businesswise Solutions and to have provided a cost-effective video wall solution with all the required functionality and flexibility to allow Businesswise to showcase their solutions.

"The planning, installation and implementation of the system was successfully carried out during the pandemic period, with UVS and Businesswise working strictly to all government and health and safety regulations and guidelines."
