Catering Engineering Company Named Northern Powerhouse Partner

Bolton-based NWCE Foodservice Equipment has been admitted to The Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme, a UK government-sponsored initiative to accelerate the economic development of the North of England.

 

As one of over 100 partners from various business sectors, NWCE will support the region's future regeneration.

 

Announcing the company's inclusion on the programme, Minister for the Northern Powerhouse, the Rt Hon Jake Berry MP, said:

"NWCE Foodservice Equipment as one of the latest members of the growing Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme.

 

"Based in Greater Manchester region, which has benefitted from over £660 million support from the Government’s Local Growth Fund, NWCE is committed to supporting the catering industry to flourish and working alongside more than 300 other partners organisations to help the North reach its full economic potential."

 

Ben Odling, NWCE managing director, added:

"From day one as a company we have recognised the strengths and opportunities that the region offers. 

 

"We recently relocated from Bury to our new site in Bolton, allowing us to expand our workforce and develop the team through training and apprenticeship programmes.  

 

"The Northern powerhouse enables us to Join a huge network of businesses that recognise the areas growth potential and will enable us to develop our business further.  

 

"With further investment imminent in both our new premises and in training and recruitment, we will continue to tap into the best talent the north has to offer and continue to reap the benefits of strong relationships with Local businesses."
