WMF 2018 Opens to 90,000 Visitors at NECC Shanghai

Co-organized by FM Magazine event partner, China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition General Corporation, the China National Forestry Machinery Association and Adsale Exhibition Services., the Shanghai International Furniture Machinery & Woodworking Machinery Fair (WMF 2018) opened at Halls 7.1 and 8.1 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), Shanghai, China, today.


Apart from furniture production equipment, the fair will also introduce woodworking machinery for wood primary processing and wood based panel, etc., covering the whole process of production from timbers, furniture to pollution handling. Mr. Parry Chung, General Manager of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. says, “WMF and CIFF (Shanghai) collaborate for the first time in 2018, in response to the industry expectation of a more closed integration between wood products and furniture. The two fairs work together to tie up upstream and downstream of the furniture manufacturing chain, and create a more fruitful , professional and international platform.” The fairs open on 10-13 September 2018, more than 1,300 exhibitors from different places in the world gather around in a total exhibition area of 400,000 sq.m. The 4-day fair is expected to bring more than 90,000 visitors from various countries and regions including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Singapore, India, Philippines, Indonesia, China, etc. 34 delegation groups from Russia, Malaysia, South Korea, Peru, Myanmar, Vietnam and China are being received during the exhibition.

In the afternoon of 10 September, Cui Jinbin, Sales Manager of WEINIG CHINA and Olivier Nold, Sales Vice President of Furniture, France of LECTRA analyze the latest market trends of wood customization and upholstered furniture in “Industry 4.0 Forum (I) – Enabler of New Lifestyles”, which is well received by participants. Meanwhile, cohosting with the Research Institute of Wood Industry, Chinese Academy of Forestry, the “Forum on Wood Products Green Manufacturing Technology” is organized where professionals and representatives of leading enterprises report over the development of wood products and green manufacturing industry, providing strong technical support to enterprises to expand their market shares.
