The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) Ireland has extended the deadline for entries for the BIFM Ireland Awards 2016 until Friday 4th November. Sponsored by Tech Skills Resources, the awards will honour facilities management professionals who have demonstrated excellence in their field.
The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) Ireland has extended the deadline for entries for the BIFM Ireland Awards 2016 until Friday 4th November. Sponsored by Tech Skills Resources, the awards will honour facilities management professionals who have demonstrated excellence in their field. The awards ceremony will take place at the industry body’s 20th FM Summit on Friday 25 November 2016, Croke Park, Dublin.
Recognising facilities management professionals who have performed exceptionally well in the past year, the BIFM Ireland Awards categories include Ireland Region Young FM Professional of the Year and Ireland Region FM Professional of the Year. Winners of this year’s awards will be able to claim €500 towards professional development activity of their choosing, courtesy of awards sponsor Tech Skills Resources. The prize selection is designed to further enhance the professional development of those committed FMs, who can use these awards as a platform to progress their careers.

The awards are open to facilities managers operating in the public, private and voluntary sectors and have had a history of previous winners who possessed diverse, creative and innovative portfolios. Last year’s winner of the Ireland Region FM Professional of the Year, Trevor Smyth, Campus Facilities Manager at Google Ireland, has a dynamic track record of leading facilities strategies through the Republic of Ireland, UK and EMEA, with a versatile skillset that included spearheading customer-centric projects and chairing consultative exercises that would increase workplace productivity, profitability, and cost efficiency.

Deadline for entries Friday 4th November at 5pm, with winners announced at the inaugural Facilities Management Summit from BIFM Ireland being held on Friday, 25th November at Croke Park, Dublin.
