Sponsoring BIFM's South West Quarterly Training Day

Almeda Facilities have been named as title sponsors of BIFM’s South West Quarterly Training Day at the Hilton Bristol Hotel on 16 September.

Almeda Facilities have been named as title sponsors of BIFM’s South West Quarterly Training Day at the Hilton Bristol Hotel on 16 September.

BIFM’s Quarterly Training Days take place throughout the year and provide an opportunity for BIFM members to come together and discuss relevant topics within the industry.

Previous themes in 2016 have included ‘Security planning and awareness’ and ‘Environmental management’. The final session of the year will focus on ‘Understanding the principles of your commercial leases and legislation update’.

Held at the Hilton Bristol Hotel on September 16, this Quarterly Training Day will look at legislation and compliance.

Almeda Facilities is a fast-growing Keynsham based total FM and foodservice provider that has achieved exponential growth in the last couple of years. They work with iconic buildings such as Bristol & Bath Science Park, Arnolfini and SS Great Britain, as well as a host of manufacturers and businesses.

Operations Directors Richard Frost and Gordon Cox will take centre stage for the keynote speech that opens the event.

They will reflect on hot topics surrounding compliance and legislation in regards to both Almeda’s FM offering and foodservice, Food with Passion.

Attention will be paid to effective FM Health and Safety compliance, the provision of food information to consumers alongside effective allergen rules.

The keynote speech will be rounded off with discussion around food trends in the workplace, following the recent launch of Almeda’s Food with Passion business in March 2016.

Food with Passion is a ‘first-of-its-kind service’ to be offered by an FM company. It is a new concept that's set to lead the way in changing perceptions surrounding food and sustainability, whose focus is on positive change by it valuing local, organic, nutritious and ethically sourced produce above everything else.

Brady George, MD at Almeda, comments on Almeda’s sponsorship of the event: “It is estimated that the FM sector contributes around £111 billion a year to the UK economy, so it is of huge strategic important to UK PLC. It’s also a sector that is not afraid to evolve and innovate. We’re delighted to be key event sponsors and we’re hugely excited to be sharing our own passionate insights and wealth of experience on the hottest topics around Compliance and Legislation.”

Almeda Facilities are an award winning business. Over the past year they have collected titles of Rising Star at the Business Leader Awards, Corporate Responsibility Award from the Institute of Directors and the Customer Service Award at the Bristol Post Business Awards. They have also been shortlisted for Business Leader Magazine’s Trailblazer Top 40.
