AV Provider Wins Gong for MoJ Installation

Author: AVM Impact Ltd

AVMI, the UK’s leading provider of audio visual and digital media technology solutions, has won the prestigious ‘Best Corporate / Industrial Project’ award for its work on an extensive Ministry of Justice (MoJ) installation at this year’s Installation magazine InstallAwards 2016 in London, and was instrumental in ensuring its client HSBC won ‘Integrator’s Choice Award: In-House Team of the Year’.

AVMI, the UK’s leading provider of audio visual and digital media technology solutions, has won the prestigious ‘Best Corporate / Industrial Project’ award for its work on an extensive Ministry of Justice (MoJ) installation at this year’s Installation magazine InstallAwards 2016 in London. AVMI was also instrumental in ensuring its client HSBC won ‘Integrator’s Choice Award: In-House Team of the Year’, after working closely with the bank to develop a global standard for meeting space technologies, with over 200 meeting spaces rolled out in 12 countries.

Now in its third year, the InstallAwards recognises excellence across the entire pro AV industry, focusing on the best projects in the preceding 12 months and the people and teams that made them happen.

AVMI developed and delivered the revolutionary Ministry of Justice system to allow the display of digital evidence in courts in England and Wales and to help the Magistrates Courts of England and Wales move away from the traditional paper systems used to present evidence and enable court proceedings. The project formed part of the MoJ’s Digital Business Model initiative and was rolled out in over 800 courtrooms across the UK in just 10 months.

The project was led by Jason Turner, Business Innovation Director at AVMI, providing design and commercial oversight, together with Nicky Chapman (Innovation Project Manager) who project managed multiple delivery and distribution teams located around the UK under the supervision of Alex Bardsley and Pawel Bodziarczyk.

“We are absolutely delighted to have won this award which recognises the important role AVMI has played in helping the Ministry of Justice transition to a paperless courtroom system and deliver an enhanced court and tribunal service that will enable the magistrates courts to uphold the rule of law in a 21st century society” says Jason Turner, AVMI’s Business Innovation Director. “We would also like to thank our partners involved in the project including ATOS, TD Maverick, Barco, Philips and Unicol.”
