Compass Group to propose £1 billion special dividend at AGM on 11 June.

Company News, Catering

Announcement follows organic growth in North America and emerging markets and 10 per cent dividend increase for holders of ordinary shares.

Following a strong performance during the six months to 31 March and a recent announcement that shareholders will receive a 10 per cent dividend increase, Compass Group has unveiled a proposal to issue £1 billion of non-ordinary shares to its ordinary shareholders.

The proposal for a special dividend will be presented to shareholders at the company's annual general meeting on Wednesday 11 June 2014.

In 2014 the world's largest contract foodservice company has experienced organic revenue growth, buoyed by North American and emerging markets, of more than 4 per cent in what Group Chief Executive, Richard Cousins, has described as "another period of consistent delivery".
