Daintree Networks adds industry veterans to Advisory Board
Jon Wellinghoff and Luca Mazzei will bring a wealth of experience in building automation and energy markets, as the company reports dramatic growth in demand for building energy solutions.
Daintree Networks, Inc., a leading provider of networked wireless control and energy management solutions for smart buildings, today welcomed two new members to its advisory board. The new additions are Jon Wellinghoff, a partner at the law firm Stoel Rives LLP and former chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and Luca Mazzei, vice president of strategic marketing and product management for John Crane and former vice president at Honeywell Building Solutions. As part of Daintree's continued evolution, the company plans to leverage the collective expertise of its advisory board to assist with advancing its business model and integrated solution offerings, as well as its strategic channel and partner development.
Jon Wellinghoff is an internationally recognized energy law attorney and clean tech energy expert. He has nearly 38 years of leadership experience in federal and state energy policy, regulation and project development. The longest serving chair of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Jon was first nominated to be a FERC commissioner in 2006 by President George W. Bush and was reappointed in 2008. In March 2009, he was named FERC chairman by President Barack Obama.
"At the federal and state levels, commercial energy efficiency regulations are coming online. I look forward to helping Daintree continue on its high-growth path and increase adoption of its smart building energy management solutions that deliver compliance, along with significant energy savings and load management," said Wellinghoff.
Luca Mazzei is responsible for strategy, product management, pricing, marketing and communications at John Crane. Prior to joining the company in 2013, he was vice president of global strategy and marketing for Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS), where he developed the company's global growth strategy, while ensuring alignment of marketing activities with the sales and operations organizations. During this time, Mr. Mazzei also led Offer Management, with responsibility for managing the new offering development process in tight alignment with the Honeywell technology and labs organizations.
"As an advisory board member, I am excited to lend my expertise in the building technology sector to enable Daintree to take full advantage of the burgeoning building energy management market by leveraging its Enterprise-Internet-of-Things™ approach," noted Mazzei.
"These two distinguished individuals are first-rate additions to our advisory board. Their energy industry experience and guidance will help enable Daintree to achieve its business and integrated product offering goals. We look forward to their contributions as Daintree continues to expand solutions that simplify the way building owners and operators intelligently manage, monitor and optimize their energy use, and manage other devices related to Enterprise Internet of Things™," stated Daintree CEO Danny Yu.
