Company News

"Very good" 2013 figures pave the way for a renewed focus on growth and expansion in key markets.

Maastricht, 14/03/2014 - In February, ESE World's management team mapped out the course for future success at the company's annual management conference which was held in Nice. After two years of consolidation and cost reduction, ESE World will focus on growth in 2014.

Europe's leading manufacturer of temporary storage systems for waste announced satisfactory financial results for fiscal year 2013 at the event which was attended by more than 90 employees from the company's operations internationally.

Both internal and external speakers were invited to the conference to challenge the audience’s attitude towards their own expectations and enable them to see new and innovative ways of serving customers and markets.

ESE World transformed a year that had begun with many challenges into a very good 2013; executing all major restructuring activities that have been introduced to increase earnings.

The company delivered its ambitious budget by reporting an increase of the EBITDA (adjusted for extraordinary items) by 23 per cent when compared to 2012, and its management team is confident a further increase can be achieved in 2014.

Chief Executive Officer, René Wolfkamp, and Chief Finance Officer, Claudius Bensberg, both reported on the progress that has been made during the past three years; with Mr. Wolfkamp announcing that all regions had improved results.

Mr. Wolfkamp added: “I want to thank all employees for their contribution to the company’s values and the extraordinary achievement over the past years”, before stating how he is "very much looking forward to the accomplishment of our goals with this great team in 2014”.

All employees at the event committed themselves to furthering both the company's financial objectives, and to the values encapsulated by its “Customer first, Creativity and Responsibility” tagline.

ESE World will be concentrating on continuing the comprehensive and forward-looking sustainability strategy that the company has followed during the last year.  The strategy begins with the development of intelligent and innovative product solutions and services, before ensuring the company achieves a 100 per cent recycling rate for the production of containers and zero-wastage in its modern production facilities.
