One of the United Kingdom's leading non-profit organisations involved with research into building energy use has announced  the launch of a mobile-device compatible website with added functionality to improve delivery of tools and technical information.

Following six months of planning and development, the National Energy Foundation (NEF) has replaced the website it  built in 1996 with a responsively designed one offering new features and compatibility with all mobile devices and platforms.

A News and Insights section (which can be visited at: has also been created to allow the charity to share its blogs, press releases and general news.

Commenting on the launch, Chief Executive, Kerry Mashford, said: “we’ve needed a new website for some time so we decided to make it one of our top strategic priorities for 2013. The new site will provide a better foundation for us to deliver tools and technical information, as well as promote our professional services. It will be more widely accessible, enabling us to progress and expand the delivery of our charitable objective of improving the use of energy in buildings through inspiring action, sharing knowledge and building capacity".

Dr. Mashford also reavealed that the new website, built by specialist agency, Method & Class, is more easily managed than the previous one and will be developed further to make it even more "useful" to NEF, its clients and the general public
