Emerald Brand reports 32.5 per cent increase in sales during first half of 2013

CEO attributes results to new product innovations including the Double Wall Hot Cup which eliminates the need for sleeves or double-cupping and is strong enough to be reused throughout the day.


Emerald Brand has reported a significant increase in sales during the first half of 2013.Like-for-like figures were up 32.5 per cent when compared with the same period in 2012.

Ralph Bianculli, CEO of parent group, Paradigm Group, commented: "We are seeing relatively proportionate increases in sales across the board with the Emerald Brand"
 
The Emerald Brand consists of USDA Certified sugarcane-based towel and tissue products, cutlery made from plant starch, and DfE Certified cleaning chemicals, among other environmentally friendly items.
 
"In addition to our established line of Emerald Brand products, we've introduced new innovations such as the Double Wall Hot Cup, which eliminates the need for sleeves or double-cupping and is strong enough to be reused throughout the day", added Bianculli.
 
New products to be added to the Emerald Brand in the last quarter of 2013 include a completed line of Emerald hot cups with one universal lid to fit all sizes.  The universal lid, which comes in tear-back or dome, makes it easy for supply chain partners and end users to manage and consolidate inventory.
 
Emerald Brand welcomes new "tree-free" products to the line, as well.  Emerald Select Super Absorbent Household Roll Towels and C-Fold Towels are now 60 per cent tree-free and Paradigm Group anticipates tremendous results with these additions.

Emerald Brand Tree-Free products are made from a high-quality, rapidly renewable pulp material known as Bagasse.  Bagasse is the waste residue of sugarcane processing and can be harvested every 9 months. 

"Our products are priced very competitively, even when compared to non-sustainable equivalents made from virgin or recycled fiber," says Bianculli. "Our dealers all over the United States and in Europe are experiencing great success because they are able to bring something new and different to the table."
