Sodexo awarded three year £18 million Santander UK catering contract

Company to provide dining and hospitality services for 14,000 bank employees.

Santander has awarded a three-year catering contract to Sodexo.

Under the agreement which will be worth £6 million annually, the integrated construction and facilities management services group which currently provides services to Santander UK's Spanish parent company, will assume responsibility for catering, executive catering and hospitality services at the bank's London headquarters and eleven key regional offices.

Commenting on the award, Jane Jones, divisional managing director of Sodexo Prestige and Corporate Services (UK and
Ireland) said: “We are delighted to have won this prestigious contract. My team is looking forward to transforming the services on site and offering Santander’s employees more fresh choices and variety. Santander has a global FM policy of selecting single service line specialists so this contract is a true endorsement of our food expertise and capability.”

Sarah Fowler, Santander Global Facilities catering and vending manager revealed that the decision to appoint Sodexo was based upon its "proven track record" of delivering catering and hospitality services.

"We were impressed by the enthusiasm of the Sodexo team and the detail of their catering solution which will deliver a range of contemporary food offers and value for money for our employees,” she added.
