car.e Facility Management subsidiary to introduce continual improvement process (CIP) at one of Volkswagen Group's largest engine manufacturing facilities.

car.e Facility Management, a subsidiary of HOCHTIEF (Germany's largest construction company and parent of US construction management giant, Turner Construction), will continue to provide technical, commercial and infrastructure-related facilities management services to Audi Hungaria until at least 2016.

The company, which is deploying its own energy efficiency and cost-optimisation platform, blueFM, at one of the Volkswagen Group's largest engine manufacturing facilities, has been responsible for the operation of buildings and engine production technologies at the Györ facility since 2000.

The 1.8 million square metre factory which has a manufacturing capacity of 2 million engines a year is also the production base for Audi's TT, TT Coupé, TT Roadster and A3 models.

Under the renewed contract, car.e Facility Management will optimise operator performance through the introduction of a continual improvement process (CIP).
