STRABAG PFS in Deutsche Bahn TFM Contract Win

STRABAG Property and Facility Services GmbH (STRABAG PFS) has begun delivering services under a three-year Total Facilities Management (TFM) contract with leading German railway operator, Deutsche Bahn AG.


The contract relates to office buildings located at Frankfurt am Main and Duisburg with a total (gross) floor area of approximately 80,000 square metres.

The service portfolio includes routine and specialist (façade, glass) cleaning, reception desk and mailroom management, maintenance, inspection and repair of technical facilities at both sites, and the provision of additional support during the Winter months.

Location 1: Stephensonstrasse 1, Frankfurt am Main 

Now occupied by its passenger transportation executive division and subsidiaries, DB Fernverkehr, DB Regio and DB Vertrieb, the office building at Stephensonstrasse 1 was formerly Deutsche Bahn's headquarters and consists of a 17-floor central building that is encircled by several five-floor wings.


The property was the subject of a sale and lease-back agreement in 2010, under the terms of which Deutsche Bahn's existing lease is scheduled to expire in 2020.


Location 2: Masurenallee 33, Duisburg

Serving as an administrative centre for DB Cargo AG, the comb-shaped building was designed by architects from RKW Architektur and has been in operation since 1998.

The service agreement expires on 31 March 2021, and includes provision for up to two additional extensions (of three, followed by two years).
